Shorts & Reels
Reels & Shorts are more present and important than ever before on social media.
For the sake of simplicity, I call them trailers in my subscription packages, because that’s what they are in the end:
Small, fine and not complex video productions that should appear authentic, real and credible.
They are short, dynamic and arouse curiosity.
In general, reels, trailers or short features offer the opportunity to showcase a new service, a product or a treat from everyday life.
Moving images are replacing normal image posts more and more. Depending on the company, service provider or business, trailers can even make more sense than picture posts.
As mentioned, a trailer is not a complex video production, it should rather be two short, concise 15 / 30 seconds long, fast and dynamically cut videos.
Depending on the option, you can either book text and music or simply do it yourself.
A black or white intro, or a logo display of the company, the brand at the beginning or end, is free of charge anyway.
Just like with a picture-only subscription, you also plan in advance which trailers you want to record. The teasers are made together with the pictures and, depending on the situation, take up to an hour longer on site.
Finished trailers are delivered together with the pictures.
Trailers are not a substitute for a live feed. There is little point in not posting any updates on Instagram or similar social media channels for the entire month and then releasing a single trailer.
Either you use them in addition to the content that you are presenting anyway, or you use them on the website as highlights.
In addition, trailers definitely do not replace film production: no complex setup of artificial light, no voice-overs or no complex text/animation productions.

Answers to common questions
Where products change regularly, when there is direct contact with the customer or a new service needs to be introduced, for example in restaurants or retail.
In places that tell exciting stories and create something new, such as manufactures, handicraft businesses or tattoo artists.
It is for those who have or want to build up a broad online audience, for whom their image is just as important as their product, the service itself. This can be coaches, artists or nutritionists.
External presentation does not only take place in the shop window. On the contrary, almost every smartphone owner googles a location before deciding where to go. The pictures have to be on point in these fractions of a second, and I deliver this picture.
Therefore, a social media subscription makes sense if someone also makes sure that the material is used well. Otherwise, there are nicer ways to throw your money out the window.
You need a plan of what to do with the material. If you fill an Instagram channel, if you introduce a new member of the team, if you want to introduce a new product, I’ve your content covered.
Once or twice a month, we think about what content we should produce. With this plan in our pockets, we meet on site and implement it.
The resulting images and videos can then be presented on Instagram, Facebook, in your own blog or on the website.

Of course, a subscription makes no sense without a plan for the usage of the content.
For more complex productions, if an entire company is to be captured, high-end product photography or complicated video productions, then a social media subscription is NOT the right choice.
Of course, the work is of high quality in the subscription, I don’t want to give up this standard, but it does not replace a business shoot: It is intended as an attractive “reportage” of your everyday life.
In addition, a subscription is booked for three months, after which it can be canceled at any time. Simply because the low price of the production has to pay off, and it shouldn’t be booked as a substitute for a conventional shooting.
If for some reason it is not possible to produce new content in a month, additional content can be produced in the previous one.
